what is "ground bus"?

I have been advised to make a ground bus bar, for RCA input selector switch that I have.

Do I just use the small piece of wire like here (will be soldered to aluminium plate) and connect the grounds?

A bus is just a length of wire like you say. You will have major problems soldering to aluminium though!

if plenty of flux doesn't do it, is there any other way?

Use a solder lug bolted to the aluminum plate, that's the way it's done.

I'd use a bit of 14 ga copper romex wire (house wiring in plastic jacket) tin that and use that as the ground bus.
