Hi

I found a regulated powersupply's ammeter 'lying'. It is a 30V 5A unit and the volt meter is indicating OK, checked with 2 good multimeters. However the amp meter indicates 0,25A where my multimeter show almost 2amps under load while it is used for supplying dc current for anodising.

To calibrate the ammeter, would this be done 'under load'?

Thanks

Regulated Power Supply...

Hi Guys

I've taken the thing's cover off. Since I bought it a year ago, it has needed two repairs, running @18V, 1 to 1.5amps. Well, there's nothing to calibrate. The voltmeter's pot is still there, but the repairer removed the ammeter's pot, without my knowledge.
Have now written to his boss.

Cheers
