I am repairing an NAD 7175 reciever.
The Speaker select switch has a bad contact. It has "A B Off A+B". The switch is rotational, but has rectangtlar body. Any idea guys? Tom |

I bought a couple parts to repair my NAD 7175PE more than a few years back. I was able to order them directly from NAD. I'm not sure how I got the number... and unfortunately, I don't seem to have it handy any more.
Do you happen to have the service manual & schematic for your 7175? I've also misplaced mine. That's probably where I scribbled the 800 number for the parts department. Anyway, I'd like to find a scanned copy of the schematic. I'd like to disconnect the main power amp, since I only use the preamp section of it anyway. |

I do not have a copy of that schematic, but I did talk to NAD, they did not have the selector switchs I was looking for.
The are NLA. But I found this same amp on Ebay for like $150. It isnt the highest end amp they made I gather... Tom |

I've found my service manual for the 7175PE. Let me know if you need any information from it.

The switch contacts are are open. I took apart the switch and the contacts are burned. Usually because the switch is turned while the sytem is turned up.
I have the switch bypassed. |
