Instead of the VisorLIGHT, you might want to check with your local Home Depot. In the lighting department here they have a nice little desktop lamp that works very well for me.
It has a small, black weighted base and a "wireframe" arm with three pivot points and a small black head with a halogen bulb in it. It looks good and gives plenty of light. Think it's only something like $30.
