Default OP Amps pinout, ok. But wich side is the top?

the datasheet is reffering to a point on the op amp, but I haven't this point

so, I don't know if I'm gonna to solder pin 1 or pin 5

You look on the pinout in the datasheet.

You look from sky like a bird down to the IC. It shows left side a dot or some kind of mark. Left side down to you is pin 1, right side top is pin 5.

Which package are you using? On plastic packages(TO- 220) the pin 1 is on the left. There is usually a dot on the front indicating Pin 1.

With the lettering right side up and left to right pin 1 is bottom left (if horz lettering). Vertical lettering is top left. Who is the manufacturer? The SO-8s I have replaced are all marked.

Are the pins on the left and right of the lettering or top and bottomof the lettering?
