It would be nice to have a grand list of reputable parts companies.

The only one I'm familar with is HSC Electronics (California). Limited
high end stock. . .lots of hunting and picking. Good quality selection
of oddball resitors and caps.

Would Mouser or DigiKey be on the list.

Newark-In-One (Part ofthe Farnell group): www.newark.com

Future Electronics: http://www.futureelectronics.com/home.asp

Arrow (north American Electronics): www.arrownac.com

Allied Electronics: www.alliedelec.com

TTI Inc (own Mouser, more targetted at supplying suppliers): www.ttiinc.com

TAW electronics (California)

HSC Electronics (California)

Mouser

DigiKey

I am adding companies from other threads. . .I am just compiling
the list. . . these companies have been mentioned in other lists.
Thank-you contributers.

i second TAW. Good deals, quality products. If they dont have it they will try to get it for you.
at one point i had to force them to charge me, ha ha. I live like 1 minute walking distance from them so whenever i'd go over there to pick up my order they'd just give it to me and say dont worry about it, samples. After a while you feel guilty.:D
anyways very cool people.

here are some more

I like the lists so far, here are some more-

All Electronics (CA)

Gold Mine Electronics (Az)

EDIT- I see you are in California, if in SoCal- you MUST make a trip to Murphy's Surplus. Even if you are not, if you are ever in the SD area and remotely into DIY you need to visit this place. It will "save" you an amazing amount of $$. "Save" meaning you will see all kinds of stuff you want so cheap that you have to buy more...and more...
