Can it be an output transformator?
You can build a Tube Amp, and use it as intended. Or use it as filter choke in a power supply. /halo - thinks a Tube Guy might recognize this thing |

IMO this is power transformer.
Read the text on paper wrap: XX2V 600mA (this is secondary winding); 110V 50Hz (this is primary winding) |

0.6 Ampere But how much volt? Make a rectifier and connect a Cap between + and - and see how much is the unloaded voltage DC. /halo - hopes you have 110VAC and not 230VAC mains. |

I think it could be 12V, but if it's much larger than that, it could be say, 112V, to feed a doubler for a tube amp. But since it isn't a tube amp, that goes phut out the window goodbye...

You might use it for a door bell.

Has anybody build any nice DoorBell Amplifier recently? ![]() It doesn't have to be high end, but it does not hurt if the sound is good. The guest would feel more welcome. /halo - has only a 20 Watt Doorbell amplifier. - gives enough volume for to notice the guests |

Make a 500watt doorbell amp, and mount speakers all over your door. .
