I have a lot of vintage axial capacitor which is on attached picture asf :
1) TriCap Type250 5MFD 200VDC
2) TexCap Type31 5MFD 200VDC
I wonder that what's kind of that capacitor : Polyproylene or Polyester or Paper film cap ? I intend to use it on output/input signal in my preamplifier but how's quality ???
Thank you / Banana

Paper film caps sound great. It takes a good microscope to determine this . I'd love to find a source for NOS.

I found on one shop which sell TexCap Type 27 (without picture). They said it was a paper cap. So that I think that mine (type 31) is the same and hope so
Well worth a listen in a coupling cap application. I'm curious as to what you hear. Mike.
