Hello,
With the help of richie00boy, I made project 71, (the Linkwitz Transform, from Rod Elliotts site), a reality. I'm taking the Loudspeakers output of my amp via a headphone circuit to drop the output to drive the input mixer and so on. Illness has taken my mind away from things, and although not better, I'm getting on with things. Anyway, I'm using a car amp in bridge mode to power the woofer, and I have the gain turned down on the amp and yet the volume level is too high. With the LT set at 20hz, and not wanting to change things, I tried changing the resistors in the headphone circuit, but still the signal is too strong, I tried a 240k volume pot off an old amp, and it released some smoke ! It was wired as a potential divider. Whats going on, can you help? Would I have some DC getting through? If so, how can I check without a Scope Thanks Mike
