Hi Thomas,
I am new to DIY Electronics so please bear with me. If a reed relay is sealed in inert gas inside of a glass capsule, why do you need it to be Gold? Or do you only need the contacts outside the capsule to be Gold (plated). Rhodium is also an excellent conductor that doesn't oxidize easily. Maybe that can be an option or increase your chances. Something like this?: http://www.hascorelays.com/reed_switches2.asp Thanks! Good luck! Regards//Keith
