Default Regulator B1274 and replacing it?

Hi!

My Sony CD player has B 1274 as the regulator. I couldn't find anything about in from the net.

I'm modding my CD player for fun so I wonder if this regulator is any good or should I try replacing it with something better.

Picture attached.

Is anyone famliar with this regulator at all? It sits in a Sony CDP990 player. Maybe it is some Sony specific version?

Isn't the last number supposed to tell you the voltage? I really wonder if it can be 4 in this case. I've never seen such a regulator and voltage.

Basically I would like to know what is the voltage it supplies to the player so I could make a proper replacement. I appreciate any tips to gain some progress on this.

Thank you! That must be it...

Now my regulator upgrade is stuck however. I have no idea wheter this transistor is the one that should be replaced and with what. It is the only one with the heatsink on the board so I would assume so.
