I've got some lavalier-sized microphone cable (Mogami W2697, I believe) that I'm trying to work with. The individual wires are filled with both copper strands and quite a bit of some kind of nonconductive fiber.
The trouble is, I can't figure out how to easily separate the filler out so it can be chopped off. Even after painstakingly removing about 75% of it, soldering is still a mess. Any advice? |
