Default Where to buy Bar graph VFDs

I want to build a little Vu meter and install it in my amp case.

Problem is i can't find a nice screen for it. (i don't want to use Led's)

There's a video on youtube of a guy using a VFD to do it, and i've found a schematic for the lm3915 that works with VFDs.

I just need the bar graph kind they run with, which i can't find where to buy .

Anyone know where i could buy some?

page 17 shows VFDs. I don't mind the length of the VFD, i think i connect connect a few Lm3915's up to make the output into like 20 bars instead of 10.

Hi,

A quick google came up with this: http://pin.if.uz.zgora.pl/~jsieracki/VFD_VU.html

It has the type number on that page, unfortantly I can't read the page to translate any info, but maybe goole translate will help?

Best regards,

Mags

As soon as I saw the .pl in the URL I figured it would be in Polish. Google and Bablefish translators don't do Polish yet, but you can try this one:

Unfortunately Polish is a realtively difficult language to translate into English, so the results are going to be a bit sketchy, better than nothing though.

haha that's very confusing translated XD.

Though from what i can gather it doesn't explain where to get those VFDS .

i think it says they are made by NEC. Maybe i should shoot them off some emails?.
