Smile Andrew Burn

Hello,
I've been very pleased to find a supplier for Marantz tray drive gear/pulley. This machine is in beautiful condition at 20 years old - I'm pleased to be repairing such an early CD player. Older and vintage audio repair can certainly be very rewarding.
Andrew Burn.

Default Does this gear exist in another CD player

I have a whole buch of scrap CD players.
Onkyo DX-606 I think 6 cd changer, a pioneer 18 CD player as well as many kenwoods and others.
Where should I start looking for this. The drive gear is broken in the Phillips cd 500, a TDA 1543 equipped player. It sounds phenomenal. The carriage just shudders going in and out.
Also is a chinese supplier good for this ? or does it break easy and hence I should get a better one than a $7 chinese one.
Thanks.
Srinath.

I suspect this part will be one of the first to be widely 3D printed
