I'm beginning to try and transfer music from my old record collection to a PC. Trouble is, using a radio shack preamp (which is properly grounded) I am getting some kind of amplified noise.
Can anyone offer advice on why this is... is it simply a question of cheap hardware, or can the noise be isolated and removed? Thanks, all. ... Mike |

Since you call it a pre amp, is it even a phono amp with RIAA correction? Otherwise it is not suitable at all.
