I'm building a simple passive pre-amp, and looking at the "best possible" attenuater solution.
On my way I found this on the WEB. The special "Bob Crump tweak" is (for a 25K stepped attenuator) to add 2 x 250K Vishay S-102 reses for each channel ... from input to output and from output to ground. It then takes 40-45 days solid use to break in completely!! Does this idea work with a passive pre-amp? What impedance should the attenuator itself have when used with this solution in a passive pre-amp. And the are the values for the S102 the same in this case. Please help Vogue Denmark |
