Hello, the tube amp kit I am building is missing the power supply wiring (18 awg). The signal cable annexed is a 20 awg.
To solve the issue I have bought a DH labs hook-up wire but available in 18 AWG only. Would you advise me to overall use the 18 awg wire or better keep the designer request of using 18 and 20 awg that will be then completely different? In the last case I will have to use the basic 20awg cable that come with the kit and use the better quality 18awg from DH labs for hard connections? It could sound a silly question to you but for a youngster in building seems important enough to ask Thanks Dan |

As a seller I've been selling only 18 Awg for heater wire
and 20 Awg for the balance of the amp, both solid and stranded teflon/PTFE . It wouldn't hurt to use all 18 Awg ... Steve @ Apex Jr. |
