Anyone know of any audio parts suppliers (anything DIY audio related - electronic components, drivers, etc.) in the Philadelphia, PA, USA area?

Mike,
Active Electronics has a store across the river in Cherry Hill, NJ. Their address is: 1871 RT. 70 EAST HERITAGE SQ. SHOP CTR. CHERRY HILL, NJ 08003 TEL : (856) 424-7070 FAX : (856) 424-7722 Its been a few years since I shopped there since I no longer live in the area, but they had a pretty good selection of parts. They don't carry audiophile stuff but they have a good selection of parts that will be useful for building equipment. You can get a sense of what they carry by looking at their website http://www.future-active.com/ . ---Gary |

Herbach and Rademan is always a fun place to browse. Not audio stuff per se, but plenty of wild things (they once had an electron microscope for sale, untested of course ;-). Edmund Scientific's store in Barrington NJ is unfortunately gone. (that is a story for another day

I don't think there is anything around here of special note. There used to be some surplus places in the old days, but I believe that they're all gone. I think that the core places are Digikey, Mouser, and a few surplus places like Brigar and Apex Jr. Thank God for the web.
Good luck!
