We're remodelling our shop at work, the place is 50 years old and has collected a lot of stuff over the years, they want to 'modernize' the place, so a lot of old things are headed for the dumpster... or the trunk of my car if I see them first! I've picked up some pretty good stuff so far, including a couple of Tektronix scopes (453 & 453A).
Yesterday I came across a pair of tubes that look to be new in the boxes, RCA 8005, and was wondering if they'd be good for an audio project... since I've only got the two it would probably be a pair of SE amps.

They're the same as V70D. I used to use them in my old ham transmitter. They'll be tricky but not impossible to use for audio service. You'll need to design a driver capable of driving grid current into a significantly nonlinear load. And, of course, the usual execution-level plate voltages.
