Default Inductive coupling between power supply inductors

I know with crossovers you don't want inductors on the same axis and/or too close together because of inductive coupling changing the value. I assume that since a power supply is basicly a type of crossover that the same is still true, but what I'm not sure of is what effect inductive coupling has on the inducotrs, and wether having the two inductors for each rail near each other and on the same axis would cause any problems. Do I need to pay attention to this issue, or is it negligable. Thanks, I appreciate any help on this issue.
