Here's a high quality (toroid international) toroid out there on ebay:
search: Toroid TI-043222C or: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...0407&rd=1&rd=1 I have used a couple of them, 20 pound monsters. 2 pairs of secondary windings, 28-0-28 * 2 at 19 amps each. Person should make the graphic for the spec readable. Dead silent. perfect for aleph 5 or multi multi multi multi chip gainclones. Or anything that can go on 36-38 volts with oodles of current. here it is sitting next to a 300va hammond for comparison. |

I bought two of them as well to power a set of mono-block amps I’m building. They’re a fantastic bargain at $50 ea. + S/H.
I tried to attach the original spec sheet (which wasn’t too clean), but by the time I compressed and chopped it to fit DIY’s requirements, it was totally useless. So, here’s a quick summary: 1240VA continuous Primary 1 = 100VAC and 120VAC – 18AWG Primary 2 = 100VAC and 120VAC – 18 AWG Secondary 1 = 29.6 – 0 – 29.6 (no load) – 14AWG Secondary 1 = 27.2 – 0 – 27.2 (@ 19.0A) Secondary 2 = 29.6 – 0 – 29.6 (no load) – 14AWG Secondary 2 = 27.2 – 0 – 27.2 (@ 19.0A) “Special quiet design” P/N TI-043222C
