Thanks for that link jksmurf.

It looks like avr300 is the only one so far with experience of the ad8599 and he seems to indicate that he is 'not looking back', even in the face of LM4562...

Now that seems promissing - mayb I should get a move on with my samples then..

Cheers

Hey boys..

No, I'm not looking back. LM4562 was too boring for me. There is much more life and involvement with AD8599.

Here's the thing.

Cool pic. Can I ask who you got the adapter from?
Did you get the samples from AD?

He gave a more precise report : better details than the LM (!!), but moves the voices and highs more in front of the stage, too close. Said the highs hard to stand on the long term.
If this may help, so LM4562 for smoothing a system and AD8599 for pepping it
I keep both and will check wich is the best for my music room when it's done. The last word is that they are close mates, it's just a diffrent taste.

Hi Guys - thanks for your comments after having 'taking up the thread' and to my fellow native Country man avr300 for his comments, picture and link to Brown Dog adaptors - been looking around for those actually...

It all looks quite promissing for the 2 sample AD8599 I'm gonna 'stick in' my Marantz SD-5200 Multi media centre, in order to 'spruce up the sound a bit...
