i wont be able to have speakers at 2.5m, at best 4m cos the height of the machines. i can use smaller pendants that i can use on 15w, and instead 4 i can have 6 of em. as for equaliser, would the bass, treble controls on amp not suffice?

At this point I would strongly suggest you hire a professional as a consultant. Pay him for an hour or two to look at your space and suggest an approach. Then, take his suggestions, install the system, then hire him to equalize and calibrate it. You will end up with a better result for the money spent.
