Mixer with two stereo outputs but only one speaker?

Hi, I have an mr18 mixer which has two outputs for stereo and no mini option that I can see. I only have a dxs12 Sub and a dxr10 speaker so I can't do stereo. My sub has two inputs, but my dxr10 only has one. Can I do use it this way and does it affect the sound? Any ways around it without buying another speaker right now which I cannot afford? Thanks

Is this for live sound or music playback? Yes you can use it this way and it will work just fine.

This is for live sound. So should I plug both outputs from the mr18 into the sub and then one from the sub to the 10 inch speaker? Do I need to change a setting anywhere?

Mix all active XLR inputs into one AUX output (1-6), which should go to the sub, and so on.

You can mix the stereo channels with a 1k resistor in series with each channel to a joint of the resistors.

I just connect left to right and then connect that into my amp. Done it for years with out any problems.

Op amps have an output resistance of about 50 ohms.
Also, often mixers have output resistors around 100 ohms in case they get shorted.
I must agree though that you shouldn't do it if possible.
For the sake of a couple of penny resistors its worth doing.

Just use 1 output.. pick one left or right doesn't matter, no settings to change.
