Default YAMAHA amps XP versus P series

Yamaha amplifiers are declined in several series.

P-serie and XP-serie exhibit similar performances and output power. EEE technology for both.

On the XP serie, it is also possible to select the gain, and manage the protection flags.

I would like to know if amplifier schematics and sonic performances are identical; since the XP prices are 2 times higher.

Thanks in advance
