a big and moving sub equals a car equtation is not bad as it is.
but rahter, since you would use the whole car, you got space to use efficient PA drivers.
a tipical car sub does not need to go below 60~ hz at -3dBL to sound verry deep. as cabin gain helps it out. a PA speaker ina box that is allso designed to go down to only 60~ ish hz will be a lot louder, will require less amplifier power, and surely will at least sound musical, instead of the tipical "thump-thump".

If one wants the comparism done, btw, just listen to a car sub at outdoors. it will sound like a dogfart. this is why i would rather advise for this experiment PA drivers.
a problem i can allready see is the car it self.
the thing is not stiff enough to reach those realy high SPL figures.
so in the end it is more practical to use a van, and build a box that just fits into the van.
one can more or less do it in a fashion where is the cab of the van would be the ported chamber of a bandpass box. but, the windows might not yield a suitable vent.
