Maybe not a slo t loaded per se, but widened into a V shaped cavity that fires outward. Still push/ pull though. Depending on the driver spacing they should load each other up high into the hundreds of hertz. 8" of space between the cones will couple their outputs up to 800 hz.

Yes, an effective use of drivers and amplifier power. But I have excesses of both, and limited space. So I like the idea of little killer dense-pack boxes that put out like boxes twice their size. And I have 8 12's to the outside, which might be sufficient.

On the other hand, I'm starting to get interested in surround. In which case I still like the way I can mix and match various boxes. If I could afford it I would get 8 more drivers, but 15's this time, and isobaric one clamshelled pair into a box instead of two. That would go lower and actually be more of what I wanted for the main front two channels, and I would use these 12's for surround channels.

We'll see how they sound soon. And they will be kept and I will find some good use regardless of the details of how they turn out.
