I'm running an AB 9620b and absolutely love it. Bought it used and abused, got it repaired then installed new volume pots, swapped out the audio films for metalized polypropylenes and recapped everything minus the giant power supply caps and it's very clean and neutral sounding. Thing is a helluva a deal.
I have 2 new zealand made HOLDEN 300 watt mono amps, I use these for pa for the band they waigh a ton BIG heat sinks no fans, will run flat out all day with out overheating. but the band only proformes once every month or so (being purly amatures) so the rest of the time they are my sterio at home for sum reason I never seem to turn em up far
I use a heavy old Crest pro amp down the cave. It's the 7001, I think. Rated 550 WPC, tho it seems to do about 650-700 WPC just fine. I have it dialed back to 120 WPC, so as to not fry any more drivers.
The 7001 easily drives my two double 18's to full excursion (8+mm). Makes a lot of noise.
