Hi, I will be using and OHP with an LCD monitor. Do the Thermashield solve any heating issues ? Look at my trade if you can, Im planning on using this between the fressnell and LCD, wich are separated 30 mm... so, is FRESNEL 10 mm Thermashield 10 mm and LCD.
Is that enough ? Im using an 250w MH with UV filter from Osram... should I add more UV Filtering or Rosco Thermashield will also block it ? And the more important thing... WHERE to BUT Rosco Thermashield in ARGENTINA !!!!?!?!?!!! Is there any other product findable in strange places like my home country ? jejeje THANKS TO ALL. |

If your OHP has plastic fresnels, then maybe you should put the Thermashield 10 cm below the fresnels. That way it could project the fresnels too. If your OHP has glass fresnels, then "fresnels 10 mm Thermashield 10 mm LCD" should be fine. Use a computer fan to blow air through all of the spaces.
Rosco sells a lot of color filters for theatre lighting. Maybe you can find a company that sells their products in Argentina to theatres and concert halls. Even if they don't have Thermashield, acompany that sells other Rosco products could order it for you. I looked at Rosco's website, but I don't see an office in Argentina. If you can read Portugeuse, then this might help: http://www.roscobrasil.com.br/ Or maybe it is easier to import from Mexico: http://www.rosco.com/mexico/index.asp Here is a US distributor that you could ask about exporting: http://www.stagetechnology.com/catalog.cfm |

The thermashield is not very CHEAP, but if it's for security.. it's welcome. I'll try with the brazilian site, I already contacted them, but sending it here is a problem.... I'll find over here.
By the way, is this configuration safe ? Picture attached And, do Powerstrip solve the problem with the corners ? THANKS !!!!!!!!!! What about Samsung 510N to play ? Is it good ? THAKNSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS |

Hi,
Today I recived my Thermashield, I will not be able to post results as soon as you want because I just have a few hours during the weekends to work in the project and the next weekend I will be out of home so be patient please ![]() The Thermashield included fabric gloves to manage the filter. I guess this is to avoid fingerprints in the surface of the filter. I will scan the manual and all the information contained in the package for you. For now I have finished my light box and the mounting of the lcd and the control board. Greetings |

The Rosco Thermashield isn't cheap.
We found that heat reducing glass used in windows work very well. This glass has a silver coating. More information here : http://www.interpane.net/english/pro...low_E_sun.html I think it is a common product all over the world and it's cheap. mines reduces the heat 8-10 degrees. a 11 x 16 cm cost around 5 Euro ~ 6,50 USD. cu. ief |
