Head to cab connection??

I've got a orange ad30 htc and i'd like to connect it to my home made cab. The speakers in my cab are 2 x G12h 73's 16ohm 30watts. These are connected to a Marshall stereo cable connector. On the right side of the connector is 8ohm mono in or I can plug 2 cables in (says 16ohms) under each of these connections. So i guess my question is...What do i connect too our of my amp? Can i plug into the 2 8ohm connection from my head into the left and right of my cab, do i connect 1 8ohm out to the mono side, or do i connect the 16ohm out to the mono side???
I'll be the first to admit i'm an idiot, especially if i shouldn't connect them at all!!

go with the 8 ohm connection. with a tube amp, going with a higher impedance isn't a good idea. you could connect the two speakers in parallel for 4 ohms

Hey thanks!

I thought if i connected the 2 16 iohm speakers in parallel i'd get 8 ohms...? So i could go the 2 8ohm out from my head into the 2 input of my cab(being 8ohms out) into the 16ohm speakers. RIght??

You are right. Two 16 ohm speakers in parallel is 8 ohms. So connect them in parallel to the 8 ohm output of the amp.
