female musicians-

" ... Orianthi can play pretty good too. ..."

That NAMM show is a must see for anyone interested in making their own performance gear. The variety of complex equipment and beautiful guitars, amps, "tricks", etc. is truly amazing. (You cab always get tickets by visiting your local music store and having an obliging manager pass them to you.) :smash:

The surf sound music goes halfway round the world only to return again.
We have saying here that's so true "What's old is new again" perhaps the old days just seem so much more innocent, carefree and fun in my mind. ok Thawach then.. just one more non-musician post from Utube "Rom Ago Ago - Pan Ron" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SCotIDR3k3E

Great you turned back to musicians part

L:D L ...A big great really, you make me imagine to drink some beer in the nightclub. Now i'm interesting how to dance like the man on your link. L:D L very old classic. infinia, i have a female singer to show. she's chinese singer. i have the Description:

Description: Yan Zhang is an ethnic Han Chinese singer.
However, this song is a Miao (Hmong) folk song. Vu Ke,
the composer, borrowed some tunes from traditional Miao folk songs.

Miao is a group of people who lived on the mountain. u often see in china(a lot) and thailand(a little). thailand says "Miao" laos says Hmong. infinia here is a song link that she sings about these people in the real world. ok infinia and all guys. Let's go to see behind the bamboo curtain on utube 7.1 +dts(L:D L)....it has a E-lang subtitle to explain about it.

I'd like to second that nomination for Orianthi, she is a complete knockout.

Apart from that and some of the others mentioned I propose;

Mika Agematsu

Elisa predominantly singer/sogwriter but an accomplished musician too.

Fiona Apple

Happy Rhodes - who spawned a musical genre with her CD "Ecto"

XueFei Yang. OK, Cavatina has been done to death but she is sublime. Try Asturias instead :)

Loreena McKennitt, previously mentioned. She is a whole music industry on her own and while mainly a singer is an excellent harpist and pianist too, among other instruments played.
Incredible woman.

I have this DVD and it is stupendous.

Zhao Cong
Magnificent. - Ambushed From 10 Sides - with her patented 'glass' Pipa
Jaxx theme

With her mates from the Twelve Girls Band (now no more, unfortunately)

And the 12 GB: Whispering Earth

Not to forget Vanessa-Mae. Much maligned but an expert at what she does.

And nods to Patti Smith, Polly Harvey and all the others left out of this list, too numerous to mention.

Incidentally, I was able to procure a copy of he Zhao Cong CD, from her Danish recording engineer, who is with her in China now and hopefully returning with more of her work for me :)
