Default Callin' all Canucks... the Wailin' Jennys

have just started their cross Canada tour to promote their new album.

We've been using their last album -- 40 Days -- extensivly to trial hifi kit (particularily speakers since we've been doing a few of those of late). It is a must have.

Well tonoght we went and saw them live. Despite the typical midBad PA and less than ideal seating it was a fantastic concert -- these ladies are special. The very last song they stepped out from behind the mics and sang accepela with no aid... it was wonderful (and the same song is on 40 dayd)

So do yourself a favoutr -- when they come to town go see them, you won't be dissappointed.

PS: ticket prices were very reasonable ($23 advance here)

PPS: they aren't hard to look at either

A quick scan of the scheduled dates shows even more across the north of the US, the UK early in the new year and down as far as CA & NV after that.

I saw them again this last August at the Edmonton Folk Music Festival, they are a truly excellent group of talented artists. Definitely worth seeing, and all their CDs are well worth owning as well.

Take care,
Doug
