Any news about the latest album with Audioslave?? Is it half as good as the first one?

Cant wait to get my hands on it

I don't know about this 3rd album, but the 2. "out of exile" was not half as good as the first one IMHO... I must confess, the expectations are not through the roof...

Being an old Soundgarden fan, its pretty hard to comprehend

As an old "Rage" fan its even harder

Good to hear we're one the same page music-wise. Rage 1st ablum and Soundgarden BadMotorFinger are hard to beat

I can't figure out how anybody could even listen to Audioslave after what RATM was. Usually people get better at playing. Now Tom Morello sounds like a sold out wimp when he use to sound so good.

Badmotorfinger from 1991 is a superb rockalbum. Its roots were right where I like them. The album is a bit of a cross between Led Zeppelin and Black Sabbath. Not excactly the worst place to start

That Kim Thayil guitarguy can raise a few goosebumps

Soundgarden also had Matt Cameron on guitar at that time, he now hits the drums for Pearl Jam

I used to listen to Audioslave's first album quite a bit when it came out, and did think it was pretty good (and still do). The RATM guy's are lacking their earlier agressive style somewhat
but , I still think its a solid oldschool rock album. Well worth a listen. I think Chris Cornell did pretty good. Many people thought that he was burnt out after Soundgardens last album, but he wasn't quite that.
