Well, if I can't have Ultravox, then it has to be The Dukes of Stratosphear...

Default Stoner rock

can't beleive you guys haven't mentioned "The Band", or "Jefferson Airplane, as in White Rabitt.. ahh Gracie Slick"

then there's early Grand Funk Rairoad, Little Feat, Manfred Mann,

on the obscure end, anyone remember Aorta?

then there was the drug dealer in the next door apt. who dealt all nite long whilst playing "Real Mother For Ya" in '73 with what must have been 30" EV woofers loud enough that my doors rattled...

If you're going to pull out Grand Funk Railroad, I'll submit Steppenwolf and the James Gang. It can only get uglier from here on in.

Agreed...stoners may have listened to it all... that doesn't make it stoner rock.

A good criterion might be whether you watched TV with the sound turned down while listening to said rock...
