One of my favourite songs is very depressing: "Bankrupt on Selling" By Modest Mouse
Another: "Styrofoam Plates" By Death Cab For Cutie

Frank Zappa - "Watermelon in Easter Hay" from Joe's Garage ptIII
Possibly one of Frank best guitar solo tracks, maybe not so depressing but more as enveloping feelings of loss or sadness. Used in the ending sequence of the film "Y Tu Mama Tambien" was also listened to repeatedly during the development of the screenplay. http://www.militantesthetix.co.uk/ice-z/thf.htm
