Well the first CD I ever bought was Duran Duran - The Wedding Album (actually I think it was self titled). Too bad I lost the disc, just have the case now

Talking My very first CD

Hello,

The very first CD I bought was "King Crimson - Beat", bought back in 1986 IIRC.
And I still have it, but with a few scratches. I had both the LP and the CD at the time and I thought the LP had better bass and nuances (believabilty), but the absence of noise, scratches and the like was astonishing. It could be that the bleepy weak bass was because of the cheap, early generation CD player I had and the CD mastering. Then a better player came into my possession and the bass was back, then the LP was sold. But I still believe IMHO a properly set up 'table and cart wins hands down sonically!

Cheers
Wayne
