Just got back from a five-day road trip listening to the same four XRCD Blue Note reissues over and over and over again. Hank Mobley, Tina Brooks, Horace Parlan and Sonny Clark. And guess what? The more I played them the better they were. It's disappointing to realize that in 1958 the talent, the musical genius, and the quality of sound recording were better than anything offered today.
