clapton chronicles - the best of ... : also from that library sale, and oh dear, the damage done by the recording industry over the period of the 90's! The first couple of tracks were pretty awful, Eric was squashed in a tiny laundry with all the other musicians poking their heads around his shoulders and between his legs. Then, the tracks started getting better, Eric could start to breathe, and the space opened up. And continued to improve ...

Looked at the cover. A-ha!! First tracks, recorded end of 90's, next from mid 90's and then, the early years in that decade.

I'm quite surprised that he let himself be talked into releasing his material this way ...
