"No Particular Place to Go" from the Toy Dolls. Good supplement to my coffee to get me moving this morning.

That album, "Wakey Wakey" seems close to impossible to find in the US.

Hope Morgan's cover of "Lush Life" from her new CD.

Hope Morgan

Saw her last night at her CD release party at The Elephant Room, the bast jazz club in Austin. I was with a visiting friend who plays in several blues bands in the Research Triangle area; he was blown away and incredibly jealous that the singers he works with aren't even in the same league. She has pretty much perfect voice control, a wonderful way of shaping notes, and a great rapport with the audience. A real find for me, brilliant talent.

Only because of the holiday season, listen to the music of Schütz.
(and he is among my favorites.)
Schütz: Passions; Resurrection History; Dialogues [Box Set] - Cappella Augustana | AllMusic

And now it does not cause me headaches, what would I listen to today.

"Lush Life" -- anything like the Nelson Eddy arrangement for Linda Rondstadt? I was surprised that Dean Martin hadn't stolen the name 20 years prior.
