Is there a standard physical dimension for mixer modules? I know with rack gear we have 1u, 2u, 1/2 rack etc. If there was such a standard for a mixing console, I could build one now and ad to it instead of building numerous studio furnishings prior to knowing the standard as I have in the past

I don't think the makers of small mixing desks follow any guidelines. Often they expect them to just sit on top of a surface.
The larger desks I've come across have tended to be multiples of 19" or 19/2"wide. The heights are usual in multiples of "RU". Edit: Message unchanged, just an embarassing spelling typo fixed.. |
