Well, I'm just interested in knowing what's your favorite recording for qualitative listening on a new pair of speakers.
I'll share first...
1. Roger Waters / Amused to death (24k gold print limited edition)
Probably the best recording I've ever heard
2. Frank Zappa / hot rats (yeah I know, the recording kinda sucks)
I like the mix and variety of instruments - stresses a speaker pretty good.
3. Tool / lateralus
Very clean recording with impressive low frequency sounds
Although after listening to an SACD (with SACD recordings, of course) I'm feeling pretty depressed with the quality of my player.
