Default Need help with 2 classic rock songs

See if some of you can help me here.

Need to know the name of two 70's songs (I think )

First one has the phrase "lunatic fringe" in the chorus, pretty popular song.

Second one is from "Fast Times at Rigdemont High", its played during the (in)famous scene with Phoebe Cates, right as she's coming up the stairs. (Yes, I'm an audiophool, so thats all I noticed during that scene! ). Wanna say maybe David Bowie, but probably not.

Lunatic Fringe is from the group Red Ryder Album As Far as Siam

Phoebe makes her entrance to The Cars Moving in Stereo
