One of the few drum and bass outfits I can listen to is Kosheen, I know they aint 'pure' drum and bass because they have vocals but they are worth a listen. Still not sure about their new album though.

Interesting. Will admit to being a bigger fan uf the sub genre Jungle (almost all tunes vocal), but some of the most interesting d'n'b tracks are with vocal imo.

EZ Rollers also use a lot of vocals, though I much prefer their experiments in what they call science funktion:

Science funktion, a name most likely inspired by this tune from Donald Byrd (not d'n'b):

It's turned more into a tiny sub genre mixing funk, bluegrass and good breaks, with awesome tunes like The Successful Criminals - Diamond Ring:

JMJ - Bluegrass:

Another from EZ Rollers, with vocal:

Maybe you'd have more luck searching by label.

Special k
Penetration records
Hospital records
For what its worth, dillinja n lemonD aren't new either lol.
Or my mate DJ Problemchild. Mixed by him, various old skool, dnb, jungle.

Just my 2 pence

Excellent

I like them on Lovers. Less aggressive and warlike for those who prefer something more sedate.

That's more than 2p worth. Thank you.
Though:
Penetration Records = Technical Itch's label. He's the one artist there.
Special K = French Acid/Tek-Label. A total of 4 releases 98-99. The Jane darK - Basstrap is an interesting wordplay since it's a french label.
Hospital Records = Feature popular artists like London Electricity and High Contrast, big label.

Though I'd prefer it if we kept it to artists, since that is what I want, new 'choons I can purchase for my collection. Preferably albums or compilations, collecting singles is fine when you go for 12", but for archiving it's such a mess 'coz you have to remember every tune, not just a bit or two from the whole thing.

He seems all right, if I ever get over there I would go to a set.

On Krafty Kuts newest album (Let's Ride) there's also a d'n'b tune, Let It Go (feat Veronca Blacklace)

A shame it's only mediocre imo. There is one other decent tune on that album, which is COMPNDED (Edge*1) (Krafty Kuts re-kut) which is a remix of the 1992 sacred classic by the same name from Gordon Edge. So might go for that single instead.
As a side note, it's a shame krafty has disappointed me with his releases since the fantastic album Tricka Technology (like awesome funky tunes with a side order of good rhymes? this is it! WELL MADE MUSIC!), the albums Freakshow (1 great tune, The Funk Is), and the 2012 Let's Ride are not something I would recommend except those few good tunes, just not enough value for money.

If you want bass, why not go for some Old Skool? The best and most is Not Fragile with Bachman Turner Overdrive. Donīt know how many amps and speakers I have shot with this tune
