What music did you last buy?

A pre-order of Android & Human Being by Salyu. This is the limited first press edition with CD and live DVD. And she sings at least one song in English. :sing::sing:

Actually, I spoke too soon and did not give it a critical listen .

It is mastered at a really low volume level and lacks any real dynamics..
Ya alot of re-issues are not as good aas the originals :(

Just got a used (like new) original '88 issue CD of ...
.
Tracy Chapman (self titled debut album )

This is an all digital recording from square one and very well mastered..
It actually sounds very good .
LPs of it were also released but what is the point ot transferring a 100% digital recoding to vinyl?
You are better off with the original CD.. :)

BTW, I only paid a couple of dollars for the "Benefit" album
However, I have since obtained an original pressing of it in NM condition .
It sounds much better. :)

Got given a gift voucher for Christmas and on Friday bought the J S Bach Cello concertos and the first album from London Grammar, Hannah Reid vocal.
Cheers Jonathan

I was wondering if you meant J. S. Bach's Six Suites for Unaccompanied Cello. I could be wrong but I don't believe Bach ever wrote concertos for the cello.

I happen to have Anner Bylsma's set of the six suites played on an original instrument of the period from the Smithsonian Collection. A very moving, excellent performance.
