The next 30 entries from the same database, those titles of which I own. These are the most dynamic titles that I know of; "in your face" isn't something that I know how to measure. But put any of these discs in your player and turn them up, and they will all get your attention.

To me 'in your face' always means next to no dynamic range at all so I'm a bit perplexed as to what is being asked.

simply red - picture book. one of the most dynamic recordings out there. the track 'sad old red' is stunning and a great system 'show off'.

Joe Bonnamassa - Slow Gin, is another superb recorded album.

Of the stuff I own on CD [16bit, 44.1KHz]; I'd go with...

Flim & the BB's : Vintage BB's
Carl Orff authorised version of Carmina Burana on Deutchue Grammaophone label.

Have a 24bit, 96KHz copy of Holt's Orchestral Works [Beni Mora, Japanese Suite, The Planets] recorded by the BBC Philharmonic/Sir Andrew Davis... goes from just audible to ear splittingly loud...
