Default RIP Levon Helm

One of my favourite musicians, the great Levon Helm, has sadly passed away. He was only 71 and had battled his way through cancer a few years back.

Read more about him here:

Levon Helm ? Dirt Farmer, American Minstrel

Very sad to read this. Garth Hudson and Robbie Robertson are the only ones left now I think.

I just heard that.

Strangely, just yesterday I saw the movie "Taking Wodstock" on cable.
Levon was a Woodstock, NY resident which is in my area.

Actually, Levon was still battling the the effects of his cancer right up until the end.

His recordings are unforgettable and he will be sadly missed.

Put on the Last Waltz the night he passed.

He made a lot of great music the last decade at his midnight rambles in Woodstock.
