Iron Maiden - Somewhere in Time - i love the atmosphere of the album , synth guitars sound really good
Iron Maiden - 7th Son of a 7th Son - dark , comercial , technically perfect
Iron Maiden - The Number of the Beast - easy , the birth of modern heavy metal
Whitesnake - 1987 - easy , best hair m. /hard r. album ever
Whitesnake - Slip of the tongue - one the albums that changed my understanding of music forever
Winger - Sahara - brings back great memories of high school and i just love the music
Danger Danger - Danger Danger - if you like hair metal it doesnt get much better than this
Pretty Maids - Future World - every song is amazing
Queensryche - Empire - in the same style as op.mindcrime but more comercial
Hardline - Hardline - journey goes hard rock

I've seen two of your list bands in concert, and have heard maybe 5 of the albums. I (somewhat intentionally) stayed away from metal stuff on my list. It's true, though, that I paid little attention to many of the hair metal/Headbanger's Ball -era bands.

Some time ago I went together with my wife to: Excalibur - Alan Simon's Celtic Rock Opera.

It was phantastic, and later I ordered the CD about "The Very Best Of Excalibur". The recording is very good, it sounds great over a tube amp.

Another CD which I like very much is Fleetwood Mac's "Tango In The Night".

If You want some instrumental music, I'ld like to recommend Vangelis Themes.

Best Regards
Ralf

Well well, we have three titles in common. I didn't think anyone else would have my eclectic taste. Good show!
