Name this Singer

Can you guess who this is by the spectrogram?
A very famous singer whom you've certainly heard. The beginning of the note is a big clue, have a close look. The vibrato isn't as heavy in the voice as it looks here, but it does add a richness and warmth to this famous voice. Can you tell? |
Jimmy Buffett?

There still seem to be strong harmonics at 6kHz, so I would guess that it's not a smooth sound like Bing Crosby, but something with a bit more edge like Frank Sinatra, although I may just be misinterpreting the colours...

CopperTop, you nailed it. But which one? Hint: The slide into the note.
Cal, there are other singers beside Mr. Buffet, as hard as that is to believe. :D |
Well I think that Frank Sinatra often slides between notes...
|
You are correct sir! That sliding note drove the girls wild.
Excellent detective skills. I didn't think anyone would guess so fast. |
Thanks for an interesting challenge!
