Long story short: this is a version of a song that I last heard twelve years ago. I lost the tape, and lost the original reel it came on. I was too young at the time to know I'd eventually like this later on... (I transferred some stuff to cassette tape and it was on there) I lost the cassette years after. Which was twelve years ago, I believe. Anyway, please take a listen and if you recognize the words (Which I only remember a few, the ones I am singing) PLEASE TELL ME WHO IT WAS!!
Thank you http://www.gearslutz.com/board/work-...50s-blues.html

Hmmm, maybe Freddie King or perhaps Honeyboy Edwards? Honeyboy is a stretch and not sure of Freddie's age but a suggestion anyway.

I just revisited this thread and want to thank everyone that helped (ok, not that many) but suffice it to say I'm still searching... It was a voice that remonded me of what a young B B King would have sounded like, or, there's another singer, but I just can't put my finger on the name... He sounded a liiitle bit like Jerry Lee Lewis, but I'm pretty sure the singer I'm looking for was Afro-American.
Remember there's a horn section playing the part that I am playing with the rythm guitar. Sorry again for the terrible rendition of the song but I did what I could in an hour... and one microphone!
