Will the recording medium matters in the case of CD mastering ?

There are definately differences in disc qualities. You want a medium that yields as few possible errors and has a long archival time. (A few companies offer "master" quality blank CD-R's.)
As far as economical discs go, Taiyo Yuden has to be one of the best.

Weired issue with CD-R medium...

Hi,

I burned a few LP rips and MFSL rips to a CD-R (Red book standard) using my laptop. The program used was Sony CD Architect. The CD-R was from Moserbaer (Moser Baer Gold CD-R). The issue is that, my CD player keeps on skipping the tracks. The player is Audio Aero Captiole. The same issue is present in other machines also.

1. Can someone tell me the reason ? Is that the medium or the CD-R causing the issue ?
2. Will trying a CD designed specially for audio solve the issue ?
3. Will I be able to burn such special CD's using my computer ?

Best regards,
Bins.
